Faith Without Works

While good works are important in the Christian life, the Scriptures clearly teach that salvation is the free gift of God received by faith in Jesus Christ not something we can earn.
The Second Death
The Second Death is the eternal, conscious punishment of the wicked separation from God’s mercy and presence of His wrath. It is the final consequence of sin, and it underscores the urgency of trusting in Jesus Christ. This is why the gospel is life or death: your name must be written in the Book of Life to escape the Second Death.
