THE SIMPLE, THE FOOL, AND THE WISE
1️⃣ THE SIMPLE BELIEVES EVERYTHING
The bible has a lot of wisdom in it and whats interesting is that the information in the bible has changed many lives including mine from what the world would say is good.
📖 Proverbs 14:15 (KJV) The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
Our culture glorifies things that God warns us to be destructive!
Like it’s cool to be a gangster, we make violence and lawlessness look honorable.
We make drunkenness and drugs look like freedom.
Our culture tells us that fornication is normal?
And these are all the same things that destroyed my life and everyone else I know, I’ve families broken because of these, I’ve seen people die because of these things yet it’s cool anyway?
The prudent Christian doesn't believe something simply because society, social media, a school, or even a government says it. We examine what we're being taught.
The world would promote that there is 28 genders? But the prudent man would say there is 2.
2️⃣ THE FOOL TRUSTS HIMSELF
📖 Proverbs 12:15 (KJV) The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.
If you only listen to yourself your a fool, because listening to a counsel of people is the best way to get real outcomes, and when we look at history of Kings and Rulers they would have counsels of wise men surrounding them to calculate matters, because more minds would give you a more reasonable outcome without being bias or self-willed.
📖 1 Kings 12:6 (KJV) And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people?
We see here that Solomon the wises man on earth had counselors.
📖 1 Kings 4:29-34 (KJV) And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. 30 And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. 31 For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about. 32 And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five. 33 And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes. 34 And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
Solomon was the wises man on earth and needed counselors.
📖 Proverbs 11:14 (KJV) Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
If your not around people that will tell you the truth and you don’t like to hear truth you will fail in life every time.
📖 Proverbs 13:20-21 (KJV) He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed. 21 Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed.
Surround yourself around wise people and you will learn to be wise.
We have too many people tryna talk to themselves and agree with themselves yet their life is slipping away.
📖 Proverbs 28:26 (KJV) He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
This is also true about salvation, you tell a person about the free gift of eternal life warning them of Hell and the fool would say I wait till I find out?
3️⃣ THE FOOL HATES CORRECTION
📖 Proverbs 15:10-12 (KJV) Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. 11 Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? 12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.
Again there are people out there who don’t like to be corrected because pride has blinded their hearts to see the truth.
A fool becomes defensive.
A fool makes excuses.
A fool attacks the person correcting him.
But a wise person asks:
“Is there truth in what they're telling me?”
4️⃣ THE WISE FEARS GOD
📖 Proverbs 1:7 (KJV) The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Isn’t true that people don’t want to go to church because they don’t like to hear about righteousness because it offends their little mojo and it makes their flesh unhappy.
📖 John 3:19-20 (KJV) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
People like their fleshly ways that make them dumb this is why people hate church. But if you want to grow into a wise person this is where you will hear it. Because the world isn’t gonna tell you that fornication can screw up your life and chances! The world isn’t going to Challenge your flesh, but the bible will, and this will grow your walk in the spirit.
📖 Galatians 5:16-17 (KJV) This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Paul refused to accommodate the flesh.
📖 Romans 13:14 (KJV) But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
People who aren’t in the faith and church are only serving their flesh and they know no better, which is sad to watch people destroy their own careers and life because of the lust of the flesh, not worth it.
5️⃣ THE SIMPLE CAN BECOME WISE
📖 Psalms 19:7 (KJV) The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
This is why I go Soulwinning because I want to convert the soul through the power of the word of God.
📖 Romans 1:16 (KJV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Once peoples souls are converted it’s easier to teach them spiritual matters out of the bible.
📖 Psalms 119:130 (KJV) The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
And so the simple can become wise through salvation and the reading of Gods word. This is the way I teach people, because when people ask me how did I become successful, I can only really say by getting saved and following the Lord.
⏰ CONCLUSION
What kind of person are you?
Are you The Fool that trusts himself, rejects instruction and despises correction.
Are you The Scorner who mocks truth, hates the person who corrects him.
Or are you The Wise who loves knowledge, receives correction, seeks counsel, tests what he hears and fears God.
📖 Proverbs 9:8-10 (KJV) Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. 9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
