Avoiding Shipwreck
📖 1 Timothy 1:18–20
The Christian life is like a ship at sea. The world surrounds us, but shipwreck happens when the sea gets inside the ship.
Paul warns that some have made shipwreck of their faith by neglecting faith and ignoring their conscience. Small compromises become hidden leaks, and drifting leads to danger.
But our hope in Christ is an anchor of the soul. Storms will come yet a life anchored in Jesus will not be destroyed.
Doctrine of Devils
In 1 Timothy 4:1–5, Paul warns that in the last days some will fall into “doctrines of devils” — teachings that forbid marriage and command abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving.
