My Words Shall Not Pass Away

📖 Matthew 24:35 (KJV)
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

🔷 Some people look for fast revivals and miracles to see the moving of God, yet we need to be careful of such things, as this is one of the ways Satan deceives.

📖 2 Thessalonians 2:9–10 (KJV)
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, [10] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

📌 So we see here that people often seek power and signs as evidence of truth, yet Jesus made it clear that His word is enough. We don’t need to wait for signs and wonders in order to believe God.

📖 Matthew 24:24 (KJV)
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

📌 We don’t want to be like the Jews who needed signs and wonders to believe. We just need the Word of God. Learning sound doctrine is what truly matters.

📖 Matthew 4:4 (KJV)
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

📌 How do we receive eternal life?
📖 1 Peter 1:23 (KJV)
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

📌 How do we clean up our lives?
📖 Ephesians 5:26–27 (KJV)
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, [27] That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

📌 How do we grow in God?
📖 1 Peter 2:2 (KJV)
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.

📌 How are we strengthened in mind, body, and soul?
📖 Psalm 119:28 (KJV)
My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

📌 Are we seeing the pattern? The most powerful thing is the Word of God (see Hebrews 4:12). Jesus said:
"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
Yet we don’t respect the Bible in that way. If we did, we would study its doctrines deeply.

📖 1 Timothy 4:6 (KJV)
If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

📖 1 Timothy 4:16 (KJV)
Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

📖 Acts 17:11 (KJV)
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

‼️ It is heartbreaking to see that many Christians aren’t doctrinally sound. They go to church like it’s a social club, waiting for a miracle or for a prophet to tickle their ears. But the Word of God speaks directly against such doings. That’s why Jesus said:

📖 Mark 8:34–38 (KJV)
[34] Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. [35] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. [36] For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? [37] Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? [38] Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

🔥 Jesus’ words aren’t popular because they expose the sin of this world. Sadly, Jesus says many will be ashamed of His words. That’s why today’s so-called Christianity is a joke. Now Isaiah’s words make sense:

📖 Isaiah 5:20–23 (KJV)
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil… [21] Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes… [23] Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

📌 The world is falling apart because of sin. When we justify sin, we are calling evil good. When we act as though we know better than God and defend sin, we are being wise in our own eyes. This is happening globally. People justify hurting others, and sin is becoming accepted as normal. If only all Christians knew the Word and spoke it openly, not fearing backlash but caring about the welfare of the lost. If they won’t hear, that’s okay—as long as we’ve done our part.

📖 1 Corinthians 1:22–24 (KJV)
[22] For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: [23] But we preach Christ crucified… [24] But unto them which are called… Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

🔎 Jews looked for signs and wonders. Gentiles pursued logic and philosophy. Yet God calls us to live by faith in His Word, not by emotion or intellect alone.

📖 Isaiah 55:8–9 (KJV)
For my thoughts are not your thoughts… so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

📌 God wants us to trust and study His Word. Even prophecies, tongues, and knowledge will all pass away:

📖 1 Corinthians 13:8–9 (KJV)
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail… tongues, they shall cease… knowledge, it shall vanish away.

🔥 But charity—true love—will never fail.
📖 1 John 4:16 (KJV)
God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

💭 What does this have to do with the devotion?
Charity will never fail because God is love, and God is the Word.

📖 John 1:1–2 (KJV)
In the beginning was the Word… and the Word was God.

The Word of God outlives our emotions, desires, and distractions. Too often we chase flashy lights, megachurch experiences, emotional highs, and charismatic personalities. But the solution is much simpler:
“Be still and know that I am God.”
(Psalm 46:10)

And God is the Word.

📖 Matthew 24:35 (KJV)
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

✅ We are often focused on the wrong things and not relying on the right things, simply because we lack faith in His Word.
Ask yourself: Does your Bible hold the truth?
Is it really God’s Word?
If so, then you are holding all the power in your hands.
