The Gospel Message
-
(Romans 3:23) “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”
So the Bible is clear that you have sinned and I have sinned.
-
(Romans 6:23) “For the wages of sin is death”
We know that we all die and that’s because of sin.
(Revelation 20:14-15) “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. [15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
So, there is a second death when people are cast into the lake of fire.
-
(Romans 5:8) “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
This is the life of Christ, God sent his Son (Jesus) (1 John 4:9-10), who was born of virgin (Matthew 1:22-23), he lived a perfect life (sinless) (2 Corinthians 5:21) only helping people, yet the people killed him, and placed him on a cross, but he arose the third day, (1 Corinthians 15:1-8)
-
So did Jesus die for all? Yes,
(1 John 2:2) “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world”
But are all going to heaven? No,
(John 3:18-19) “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
-
So what must we do to be saved then?
(Acts 16:30-31) “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? [31] And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
(John 3:16) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
-
(Ephesians 2:8-9) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Grace means you didn’t deserve it but God gave it to you as a gift through faith, which is by believing, its not of your good deeds or it wouldn’t be a gift?
Even so this gift once you receive it by faith its your and its eternal life which means you could never lose it.
(Romans 6:23) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
(John 10:28-29) “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. [29] My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.”
-
If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that came to this earth to die for your sins and that he rose again the third day, then the next thing we need to do is ask God for this free gift of Eternal Life, as the Bible said…
(Romans 10:9-10) “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Here is a quick prayer that we can use to thank God for the Free Gift of Eternal Life, “Thank you Lord God the Father for sending your Son to this earth to die for my sins, I know I’m a sinner and I deserve Hell, but because of your mercy I ask for the Gift of Eternal life that when my time is past I can be with you in Heaven, Amen.
-
If you have accepted the Gift of Eternal Life the next things in life is for you to be baptized.
(Acts 2:41) “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
Once your Baptized then we must join a local Church so we can learn Gods will for our lives.
(Acts 2:42) “And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
(Acts 2:47) “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
